Motifs of Batik Jambi
As a people we should be proud because Indonesia Batik is one of the world cultural heritage from Indonesia. Almost every region in Indonesia has a batik with his trademark respectively. Similarly with batik motifs are owned Jambi batik motifs among the famous, among others: Flap Release, Truffles, Batang Hari, Gong, Chicken, Matohari, Wine, Broken Duren, Kaco Dish, Butterflies, Pauh, Flower Duren, Taro, Angsoduo, Spinach Ginseng, Ship sanggat, Atlas, and others. Jambi batik has unique characteristics, both in terms of color and his motives. Batik dyes extracted from natural materials, namely a mixture of wood and a variety of plants that exist in Jambi, such as: sap wood and fruit wood lambato Bulian, pandan leaves, wood and wood Sepang high. In addition, there is also a mixture of two types of material that does not exist in Jambi, such as seeds and leaves of high trees indigo, which is usually imported directly from Yogyakarta. In addition to color materials, Jambi batik is rich with various motifs in bright colors as a symbol of joy and merriment Edinburgh society. Recorded more than thirteen Jambi batik motifs that can still be found, such as: Temple Muaro Jambi, Glass Dishes, Bamboo Shoots Puncung, Angso Duo-Winged Crown, Crescent, Pauh (mango), Antlas (plants), clouds, and cheerfully-cheerfully.

Jambi Province is a province of Indonesia which located at the center of the east coast of Sumatra Island. Jambi is the origin of the Malays National Batang Hari Jambi Malay kingdom. Jambi is one of the many areas in Indonesia that have centers of batik craft. Before the economic crisis hit Indonesia, batik centers grow quite well in Jambi. However, after the crisis struck, these centers and many do not operate out of business. But over the times and became an icon since the batik of Indonesia which have been granted patents by UNESCO, stretching batik began to rise again. It can be seen from the sale of Jambi batik batik sales centered in the village of Jambi opposite (across the River Batanghari).

I was a textile design student and learned the technique of Batik in one of my course, then even made a purse and shirt with this technique. Such an easy technique which gives out beautiful designs.
